The Sunshine Blogger Award

The Sunshine Blogger Award

I think this is the perfect time for this award amidst the wintry, snowy, and dreary days.

It’s snowing and overcast here in Michigan today, and I’m dreaming of laying under a tree on a sunny day, reading a book… Hopefully a little bit of sunshine catches you throughout your day, wherever you may be!

  1. Thank the person who nominated you in a blog post and link back to their blog.
  2. Answer the 11 questions sent by the person who nominated you.
  3. Nominate 11 new blogs to receive the award and write them 11 new questions.
  4. List the rules and display the Sunshine Blogger Award logo in your post and/or on your blog.
  • Do you read multiple books at once?
I do this all the time.
  • What “required reading” book did you enjoy reading the most in school?
“In school” includes college, I presume. If that is the case, I will say Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen for an English course.
  • Do you like romance in books?
Yes, and no. I loath insta-love. But if you give me a slow-burning kind of love, with no explicit stuff happening, I’m all for it. Give me that classy love!
  • What’s your Hogwards house?
Well, this is the thing. I used to be Ravenclaw, then recently was placed into Gryffindor. To figure out which was it truly is, I took the test again ๐Ÿ˜› It resulted in Ravenclaw.ย
  • Do you like reading outside?
YES!!!
  • Do you have any pets?
At the moment, no. I look forward to the day when I can have horses again.
  • What was/is your favorite subject in school?
Art, most definitely. Then English.
  • Do you like to write?
Oh yes.
  • How long have you been blogging?
A little over a year now!
  • Are you a fast reader?
Not particularly. It depends on the book.
  • What was the first book that you fell in love with?
Eragon by Christopher Paolini.
  1. What is your favorite season for reading?
  2. What book have you read that completely took you by surprise?
  3. Do you ever read nonfiction for fun? If so, covering which topics?
  4. If you wrote a book, what genre would it fall under?
  5. What Ilvermorny House do you belong to?
  6. Pick one: Dragon, Unicorn, Pegasus, Griffin, or Fairy? Now, tell me why!
  7. What was the book that got you hooked on reading? (If there is just one.)
  8. What is your favorite type of character to read about?
  9. Seeing how it’s February, what is your favorite wintry read?
  10. What is a book that you just can’t make your mind up about? Love it/hate it. Who knows!?
  11. What is another hobby you have besides reading?

I tried to tag people who have not yet been taggedย (to my knowledge)ย for this award .ย If you were tagged and don’t want to participate, that’s fine! If you do, I’ll be looking forward to your posts!ย

Happy Friday, Everyone!

  1. I’m a Gryffinclaw too – Ravenclaw intelligent, but I use that intelligence like a Gryffindor (ie my heart leads me astray. I **care** about my causes.) I figure Hermione and Luna were both Gryffinclaw contenders, so that is good enough for me. ๐Ÿ™‚

Lovely answers. I would love to visit somewhere leafy in America, and to see such huge open spaces.

    1. Thanks Louise! I agree with you. I think we all have pieces of ourselves from each house. Where are you from? Michigan is lovely in, well, all seasons. But it’s known for it’s Fall colors.

  2. I also struggle with insta-love! Unless it’s in a classic book or film, then it just feels quaint ๐Ÿ™‚ And thank you so much for tagging me! My fingers are already itching to type up answers to your fabulous questions!

    1. You’re welcome, JJ! I’m looking forward to your post! ๐Ÿ˜€

    1. Alrighty! I actually tested at 35% Ravenclaw, then the second was Hufflepuff, so not that far off ๐Ÿ˜› Hmm, now my curiosity is peaked. I’ll have to see what that book is about..

  3. Thanks for nominating just going to say Eloise is my middle name ๐Ÿ˜‰ My first name’s Chloe but it’s totally fine, haha you’re not the first person who’s done it and I can’t wait to do this post ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Oops! I’m sorry about that, Chloe! I just saw Eloise the writer and thought Eloise! Well, at least I got it partially correct! ๐Ÿ˜›

  4. Thanks for tagging me!! I love your answers, too. I absolutely hate insta-love, but authors seem to constantly go from crushes to instalove all the time. I really wish we could see more steady romance development. I can’t wait to do this tag ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. You’re welcome! I’m looking forward to your post! I’m glad I’m not the only one–I instantly like a book less when I see that type of relationship forming ๐Ÿ™ Ugh

    1. I don’t think I’d be able to read just one book at a time anymore! (I haven’t had a chance to try it for a while, but maybe someday I will :P)

Yeah! Crazy, huh!? Blogging and reviewing certainly has a way of speeding up the time, too!
