Thursday Blog Trot #2
It's Thursday already, and boy, are there some great posts to share this week!
I don’t know about you, but I’ve felt like I was slammed this week with blogging. I really didn’t have much time to blog-hop, which was really disappointing. Even so, I came across some really great posts from fellow book bloggers that I think are too good not to share! Be sure to check them out, and give each blogger some love by a like, comment, or follow!
Thursday Blog Trot is a weekly meme dedicated to passing along great information provided by bloggers from all over the world. Be sure to comment below if you do, I’d love to see your posts and all of your blogging friends’ hard work!
The Perfect Contact Page
Being the face behind a blog is an honor, but it can also put us in a position that may jeopardize our transparency. Since majority of the contact bloggers make with their followers and people frequenting their page, it’s important to have a strategically laid-out contact page that gives a glimpse into who you are as an individual, blogger, and whatever else you want people to know about! Simant over at Flipping Through the Pages has a great post about this topic. Check out 7 Elements You Should Add to Your Blog’s Contact Page! I definitely glean some tips and will be revamping my contact page myself!
I don’t know any of you are writings and aspiring authors, but I am! When I came across Jen’s post Writing Wednesday: Finding the time, I thought it had some great tips for finding the time to write. More importantly–taking the time to write! It is literally the hardest part about writing. With our busy lives, it’s hard to justify sitting down to create a story, but it’s necessary!
From the Blog Follower's Perspective
I thought Gayathri had an interesting concept when she wrote her Why I Follow Your Blog: Five Ways To Make Readers Love Your Blog post. She talks a bit about her experience, as well as what draws her to become a diligent follower of others’ blogs. Granted, everyone’s tastes are different, but the tips she offers are applicable to all! Be sure to check out her blog, ElgeeWrites!
Last, but certainly not least is a blog series that Shruti at This Is Lit has been writing. The series gives tips for authors and publishers about how to interact with book bloggers and publicizing their books. Be sure to check out all of the posts in the series, as have great information for all!
